POSITION: Construction Project and Quantity Surveying Officer

Job Description

Northwell Construction is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented professional for the role of Construction Project Officer, also known as Quantity Surveying Officer. This position supports the critical planning, execution, and cost management of our diverse construction projects. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with project managers, consultants, and site teams to guarantee projects meet strict deadlines, stay within budget, and achieve the highest quality standards.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

You will play an integral support role across the project lifecycle, from initial estimates to final delivery.
Assist in planning, coordinating, and supervising ongoing construction project activities.
Prepare accurate cost estimates, project budgets, bills of quantities, and regular progress valuations.
Monitor project expenditures, track variations, and manage project cash flow.
Support the procurement process for materials, subcontractors, and required services.
Conduct routine site inspections to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and safety regulations.
Maintain precise and organized project documentation, reports, and records.
Assist with contract administration and the management of potential claims.
Liaise effectively with consultants, suppliers, contractors, and client representatives.
Support project scheduling initiatives and track overall progress.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Candidates must hold a minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree. Acceptable fields of study include Construction Technology and Management, or Quantity Surveying and Construction Economics. National Service must be completed.
Possess zero to three years of relevant work experience; fresh graduates are strongly encouraged to apply.
Demonstrate foundational knowledge of construction methods, materials, and site operations.
Show a basic understanding of construction contracts and standard procurement processes.
Exhibit the ability to prepare reliable cost estimates and comprehensive project documentation.
Display proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Project); knowledge of AutoCAD or BIM software is a valuable advantage.
Have strong analytical, communication, and teamwork capabilities.
Express willingness to work on active construction sites as project needs require.
