A non-bank financial institution located in Ghana requires the services of Finance and Accounts Officer
Finance and Accounts Officer Details
Responsible for the financial ‘health of the company by producing financial reports and developing strategies based on financial research.
Finance and Accounts Officer Responsibilities
- Prepares asset, liability and capital account entries by compiling and analysing various accounting information
- Documents all financial transactions and recommend financial actions by analyzing accounting options
- Summarizes current financial status by collecting information: preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statement and other reports
- Assist in the maintenance of accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies & procedures
- Reconciles financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing accounting information
- Prepares payments by verifying documentation and requesting disbursements
- Prepares and makes all statutory payments
- Recommends financial actions by analyzing accounting options
- Participate in financial standards setting and in the forecast process
- Assist in internal and external auditor relationship
Qualification Required & Experience
- A minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
- A Masters degree or professional qualification will be an added advantage
- Minimum of four (4) years experience in a relevant role
