The NHS Wales Shared Services Partnership runs the Health Courier Service, which provides clinical logistics transport services to all health boards in Wales. They are looking for driver/storekeeper staff to work in this service, which is in Cardiff and serves South Wales.

The service sorts, delivers, and picks up more than 120,000 pieces of mail and medical notes every week. It also moves more than 5 million samples of blood products and pathology every year, following Accord Dangereux Routier, Good Manufacturing Practice, and legal requirements.

Our main services are available from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday. But we do offer a modest number of services around the clock.

NHS Wales Shared Services Partnership offers Clinical Logistics Transport Services to all Health Boards in Wales through its Health Courier Service. It is looking for driver/storekeeper staff to work in the Cardiff area and serve South Wales.

Duties of NHS Wales Health Courier Services Storekeeper/Driver Jobs

As a Health Courier Service Driver/Storekeeper, you will be in charge of keeping the store centers stocked.
Second, you will safely and securely move, distribute, and restock NHS Pathology, Blood/Blood Products, Secure and Non-Secure Stationery, Laundry, Mail/Records, and Stock items, such as medical supplies, to primary health care facilities all around NHS Wales.
Third, you will stick to the planned times for picking up and dropping off (many goods are STAT, or time-sensitive).
You will also keep the cold chain and temperature control for blood, vaccinations, and specimens.
Also, when you handle things that could be infectious, you will follow biohazard and infection-control rules.
You will also fill out chain-of-custody paperwork and get signatures at every handover.
Last but not least, you must drive carefully and defensively, follow all traffic laws, and keep the car clean and disinfected.

First and foremost, you need to have a valid driver’s license.
