The HNMS Scholarship provides a substantial grant of $2,000 to an aspiring Japanese scientist dedicated to life science studies. The honouree will be chosen in early May and celebrated at a special award event on Wednesday, May 21, 2025, commemorating the Memorial Day of Dr. Noguchi’s death. Hideyo Noguchi Memorial Scholarship 2025 Eligibility Requirements
Candidates must fulfill the subsequent criteria:
- Participate in biological science research.
- Be a graduate student seeking MD and/or PhD degrees or a non-faculty fellow holding an MD and/or PhD degree earned within the past five years.
- Gain admission to a graduate program or secure employment at a higher education institution in the United States.
- Have finished previous advanced education or life science training in Japan.

- NIH-style Biographical Sketch.Â
- Research Project Overview: Emphasize the general, long-term goals and precise objectives of the ongoing or upcoming research project.
- Personal Statement: Provide a career development strategy, career objectives, and instances showcasing a commitment to science and alignment with HNMS’s mission.
- Letters of Recommendation: A maximum of two letters from mentors in the United States, are to be submitted directly by the mentors.
