Purpose of the Job

The Supply planner is essential for fulfilling supply chain business obligations, ensuring consistent service across all Brands at the SKU level. The Supply Planning (SP) Specialist will join the Ghana GTM team and will focus on enhancing inventory performance, reducing business waste, and improving responsiveness by assisting in the compilation and analysis of SC scorecards and different reports. This role will emphasize key areas, offer conclusions, and suggest solutions for improvement by utilizing best practices. Primary Duties
- Examine stock quantities and predict demand to identify supply needs for all inventory, particularly finished products.
- Cultivate and uphold robust connections with suppliers to guarantee the consistent and prompt arrival of stock.
- Work together with various functional teams, such as Sales, Marketing, Demand planning, and Procurement, to rank orders according to demand predictions.
- Oversee stock quantities and execute plans to reduce stock shortages and surplus inventory, in line with Unilever’s sustainability objectives.
- Recognize chances for enhancing efficiency and reducing costs in the supply chain while following Unilever’s ethical sourcing principles.
- Create reports and offer analysis to assist in decision-making processes and ongoing enhancement efforts
- Keep informed about industry developments and market trends to foresee possible inventory deficits or price changes.
- Guarantee adherence to applicable regulations, Unilever’s guidelines, and quality benchmarks.
- Assist in the implementation of global and regional initiatives from the project pipeline and monitor their performance.
- Guarantee that appropriate internal and external benchmarking for SP KPIs is established and accessible to the performance of Regional and Global Planning boards.
Experiences and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or an equivalent discipline.
- 2 years of experience in supply planning, procurement, logistics, or supply chain positions, ideally within a manufacturing or production-related setting.
- Expertise in inventory control and business applications such as ERP systems.
- Understanding of optimal industry practices, compliance regulations, and new developments in supply chain management.
- Business Insight: Capability to assess data such as stock levels, demand predictions, and supplier performance indicators to make informed choices and enhance Supply planning activities.
- Supply Chain Management, inventory oversight, and planning for inventory needs: Comprehension of supply chain concepts and methods, encompassing inventory control, purchasing approaches, and logistics management.
- Self-Mastery: Proficient verbal and written communication abilities to work with cross-functional teams, foster proactive interactions with suppliers, and deliver clear guidance and updates about inventory status. Capacity to prioritize efficiently, adhere to deadlines, and adjust to shifting priorities in a dynamic manufacturing setting.
- Meticulous: Precision and attentiveness in overseeing inventory quantities, managing orders, and spotting inconsistencies or possible problems within the supply chain.
- Commitment to exceptional performance: Ability to recognize and tackle issues in inventory accessibility and supplier efficiency to maintain seamless operations.
