POSITION: Chief Financial Officer

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) oversees the company’s financial strategy, planning, and management. The CFO leads financial decision-making to ensure the company’s long-term performance and sustainable growth. This position includes managing financial risks, reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and maintaining compliance with financial requirements. The CFO will collaborate closely with the CEO, executive team, and external stakeholders to improve financial performance and drive business growth.

Key responsibilities:

Financial Strategies and Leadership:

  • Create and implement the company’s overall financial strategy to match its business goals.
  • Consult with the CEO and board of directors on financial planning, budgeting, cash flow, investment strategies, and capital structure.
  • Offer insights and ideas for short- and long-term growth initiatives.

Financial planning and analysis:

  • Oversee the creation and management of the annual budget and financial predictions.
  • Examine financial performance and give recommendations for cost savings, revenue growth, and efficiency enhancements.
  • Monitor important financial indicators to guarantee timely and accurate financial reporting.

Risk management:

  • Identify and manage financial risks, such as credit, operational, market, and liquidity issues.
  • Ensure that effective risk management and mitigation measures are in place.
  • Oversee insurance and risk management systems to protect the company’s assets.
  • Financial reporting and compliance.
  • Maintain the accuracy and integrity of the company’s financial statements and reports.
  • Ensure compliance with all legal, tax, and regulatory standards (both domestic and foreign).
  • Collaborate with external auditors and tax authorities to manage audits.

Capital management:

  • Manage the company’s financial structure and liquidity to maintain steady cash flow and capital investment.
  • Manage loan financing, equity, and other types of capital raising as needed.
  • Form and manage relationships with financial institutions, investors, and stakeholders.

Treasury & Cash Flow Management:

  • Manage the company’s treasury operations to ensure effective cash management, investment strategies, and liquidity.
  • Manage foreign exchange and other currency risks as needed.

Team Leadership and Development:

  • Lead and mentor the finance and accounting teams, ensuring their ongoing development and performance.
  • Develop a culture of high performance, responsibility, and compliance in the finance department.

Mergers & Acquisitions:

  • Lead financial due diligence and integration planning for potential mergers, acquisitions, and strategic alliances.

Technology and Financial System:

  • Manage the selection and implementation of financial systems and technology to simplify operations and improve reporting.
  • Ensure the use of technology to improve financial operations and decision-making.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related discipline; an MBA or appropriate master’s degree is desirable.
  • CPA or CFA qualification is beneficial.
  • At least 10–15 years of escalating responsibility in finance or accounting, with extensive experience in senior leadership positions.
  • Demonstrated experience with corporate financial management, including strategic planning, budgeting, and reporting.
  • Extensive knowledge of company finance law, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
  • Experience dealing with ERP systems and financial technologies.
  • Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.

  • Excellent business acumen and decision-making abilities.
  • The ability to influence and cultivate connections at all levels, including board members, investors, and external stakeholders.
