In this role, you will play a key role in expanding our sales activities across Sub Saharan Africa and moving closer to end customers. This is a high-energy position, requiring high flexibility, proactive and persistent interactions with clients. You will have the unique chance to be part of the emerging drone industry and become an expert on various applications. This role can be pursued remotely from anywhere in Sub Saharan Africa.

Responsibilities

  • As a Territory sales manager, you will manage existing distribution partnerships across the region as well as close direct business together with dealers or standalone
  • You will develop sales strategies to expand Wingtra’s footprint in the market
  • Expanding relationships by continuously proposing solutions that meet partner objectives
  • Learning about customer use cases and market opportunities and post-process customer learnings for Wingtra’s strategy development
  • You will generate new distribution partnership leads, negotiate distribution agreements, close deals end-to-end
  • Developing relationships with prospective customers (inbound & outbound) to identify their potential needs and qualify them as sales opportunities
  • Organizing and executing product demonstrations, roadshows, customer meetups and tradeshows
  • Being a strong promoter of our product and brand on the target market
  • Creating and maintaining customer data in CRM tools (Hubspot)

Requirements

  • Proven experience (3-5 years) in B2B sales or equivalent business development experience
  • Strong network in and familiarity with the mining industry
  • The ability to demonstrate a strong aptitude for both selling and building lasting relationships with distribution partners
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Business English proficiency
  • Experience providing solutions based on customer needs
  • Comfortable driving both large enterprise opportunities with long sales cycles and dynamically closing smaller faster-paced inbound opportunities
  • Persuasive, independent, at ease negotiating and developing trust
  • Tech savviness working with Hubspot or other CRM and communication tools
  • Hunger to hunt for new opportunities
  • Willingness to travel frequently (up to 60%)

Plus

  • Business Command of French
  • Excellent knowledge of mining applications and the benefits of drone surveys in mining
  • Previous experience in image post-processing softwares like Pix4D, Agisoft, TBC, Leica, ESRI
