Job Title: Chinese Translator

Job Description

ZONDA TEC Ghana Ltd stands as a premier player in the automotive sector, specializing in the assembly, sales, and servicing of heavy-duty trucks, light-duty vehicles, and SUVs. To enhance our operational synergy and communication, we are seeking a skilled Chinese Translator to join our team at our Tema Head Office.

This role is critical for bridging language and cultural gaps within our dynamic work environment. You will facilitate clear and accurate communication between our Chinese partners, management, and local workforce, ensuring smooth collaboration and efficient workflow across all business activities.

Key Responsibilities

Your role will encompass vital translation and coordination duties:

Provide accurate and timely interpretation between Chinese, English, and Twi during meetings, discussions, and site activities.
Translate a variety of documents, including technical manuals, business correspondence, and internal communications, from Chinese to English/Twi and vice versa.
Support the review and processing of office documentation related to Chinese partners and stakeholders.
Explain work instructions, safety protocols, and project details to field staff, ensuring clear understanding across language barriers.
Assist in fostering positive cross-cultural communication and understanding within the workplace.

Your Profile and Qualifications

Essential Requirements:

A Bachelor’s degree in Linguistics (Chinese) or a related field. Preference will be given to graduates from the Confucius Institute at the University of Ghana, the University of Cape Coast, or a recognized Chinese university.
A minimum of two years of professional translation experience, ideally in a technical, engineering, or corporate environment.
Full professional proficiency in Mandarin Chinese, English, and Twi (both spoken and written).
Strong computer skills, including proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Ability to work effectively under pressure, manage multiple tasks, and operate with minimal supervision.
Excellent interpersonal skills and a high degree of cultural sensitivity.
