New Job opening at The TEWU Fund

The TEWU Fund is a branch of the Teachers and Educational Worker’s Union (TEWU) of TUC (GH). Its goal is to collect monthly contributions from its members, manage the contributions, and pay back the total contributions plus interest as pension benefits to the contributors. The TEWU Fund is looking for qualified Ghanaians to fill the positions below.

• Job Title: Fund Manager – TEWU FUND
• Job Type: Full-time
• Location: Accra is the place.

Job Summary

The Fund Manager’s main job is to make sure that the money that members put into the fund is invested in safe and stable asset classes that will give the members higher returns and better retirement benefits.

Responsibilities

• Oversight Keeping an eye on the Fund Secretariat
• Then, Ensure policies and procedures for the fund are in line with the rules set by the Board and the law.
• Loans from members are processed quickly and in line with the Loan Processing Guidelines.
• Putting together fund budgets and Financial statements that match best practices procedures and rules.
• Always keeping in mind the members’ privacy and the safety of the Fund Records are in line with the policies of the Board and the laws in Ghana
• Taking care of any other tasks that the Board may give from time to time.

Qualifications and experience.

• Those who are interested must be between 35 and 50 years old
• A bachelor’s degree or higher in business management, accounting, economics, or investment management.
• Having a Master’s degree in a related field is a plus
• Any professional certificates that are important.
• At least five (5) years of post-filled degree experience in a similar manager role is preferred.
• Know-how and practice
• The pension/pension fund business market is desirable.
• Must know how to use computers and be familiar with system software.
