Bridge Roses Montessori, founded in 2011, aims to create a compassionate and exciting atmosphere in which children can develop strong conceptual and critical thinking skills. Our curriculum is based on a mix of the Montessori Method, which promotes learning directly from the environment and through creative play, and traditional methods that foster robust growth of the child’s language and confidence.
Job Description
Bridge Roses Montessori is looking for an immediate hire of a teacher with expertise in teaching Junior High School (JHS). Applicants must be residents of Ashongman, Madina, Haatso, or the surrounding areas.
Responsibilities
- Planning relevant classes to fulfill national curriculum criteria and staying current with changes.
- Creating engaging classes for students of all abilities, coordinating with colleagues and TAs as appropriate.
- Setting up the classroom, and arranging displays and equipment.
- Using a variety of materials to facilitate students’ exploration of the issue.
- To stimulate and encourage class involvement, use a variety of teaching approaches such as whole class, group work, independent research, demonstrations, experiments, and play.
- Encourage children to work together to attain their goals.
- Individual students receive assistance and support as needed, and they are held accountable for their academic performance.
- Carrying out assessments and assigning homework.
- Completing administrative tasks. Examples include taking registers, maintaining records, marking work, and creating reports.
- Creating a learning environment that students appreciate.
Required Skill or Experience
Qualifications
- Teacher training certification OR a bachelor’s degree in education.
- At least four years of experience in a respectable educational institution.
- Strong English writing and speaking skills.
- Strong creative and conceptual skills.
- Candidates with extracurricular abilities have an edge.
Location: Off Ashongman Estate Road, or Ashongman-Bohye Last Stop.
