POSITION: Gender Equity Promotion Field Officer (Community Led Monitoring Project)

Job Description
- The location of the position is Sekondi-Takoradi, Western Region.
- Reports to: Project Officer Contract term: 2 years, with potential for extension.
- Associates: Program, Project, Field, and Monitoring and Evaluation Officers.
Objectives for the position
To take the lead on gender equity issues during the implementation of the Community Led Monitoring Project (CLMP), ensuring that the needs and issues of women and adolescent girls in the target group are prioritized, mainstreamed, and properly addressed in the planning, implementation, and monitoring of all planned activities.
Key Functions:
Gender equity promotion initiatives
- Project Planning, Implementation, Monitoring, and Evaluation
- To function as the primary advocate for the needs of women and teenage girls in all CLM operations.
- To guarantee that the concerns of women and teenage girls are effectively addressed in planning, review meetings, training, reporting, policy discourse, and monitoring activities.
- Ensure that women and teenage girls are sufficiently represented throughout the four phases of Participatory Monitoring and Evaluation (PM&E).
- Plan and conduct leadership training for women, adolescent girls, and their groups.
- Monitor and report on women and adolescent girls’ activities.
- Responsible for mobilizing women and adolescent girls in the target population into powerful groups that represent their members.
- To ensure that the needs of women and teenage girls are adequately addressed during the project’s implementation.
- Ensure that project data collection, management, and reporting are broken down by men, women, boys, and girls.
- To ensure that women and adolescent girls from the target group participate in all CLM events.
Knowledge Management
- Collaborate with the communication team to gather and share gender-related success stories and outcomes.
- Lead and/or assist in writing stories and articles about gender equity issues for publishing (website, newsletter, blogs, etc.).
- Lead and/or help in the production of concept notes, project documentation, policy frameworks, and gender-related research.
- Assist with project design and development involving gender equality problems.
Required Skill or Experience
- Minimum educational requirements include a first degree in public health. Social Science and Humanities
- Minimum Experience: At least three years of project experience helping people. Living with HIV/AIDS will be a big factor.
