Job Title: Internal Audit Manager

The Opportunity

We are recruiting a seasoned and strategic Internal Audit Manager to join our leadership team. Reporting directly to the Director of Internal Audit, you will lead the internal audit function with the mandate to safeguard organizational integrity. You will ensure the robust implementation of internal controls, effective risk management, strong governance, and full compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements. This is a high-impact role for a professional dedicated to excellence and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

You will provide strategic direction and hands-on leadership for the entire audit function. Your prioritized duties will include:

First, you will develop and implement a comprehensive internal audit strategy that is fully aligned with the organization’s strategic objectives.
You will direct, oversee, and mentor the internal audit department, fostering a culture of excellence and professional development.
A core responsibility involves conducting independent, objective audits of financial, operational, and compliance processes across all business units.
Furthermore, you will guarantee that all audit activities strictly adhere to the International Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing (IIA Standards).
You will also prepare clear, concise, and actionable audit reports, presenting detailed findings and recommendations directly to the Audit Committee and Senior Management.
Additionally, you will monitor management’s implementation of agreed-upon audit recommendations to ensure effective resolution of identified issues.
You will stay abreast of evolving regulatory landscapes and emerging risks to continually adapt the audit plan.
Finally, you will serve as a trusted advisor to management on matters relating to internal control, risk mitigation, and process optimization.

Required Qualifications & Experience

The ideal candidate is a credentialed audit leader with a proven track record:

A minimum of ten years of progressive, hands-on experience in auditing, with at least five years in a dedicated leadership or managerial role.
A Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Auditing, Business Administration, or a closely related field.
An active professional certification is mandatory, such as Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Chartered Accountant (CA), ACCA, Certified Public Accountant (CPA), or Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA).
In-depth knowledge of internal auditing standards, risk management frameworks, and corporate governance principles.
Exceptional analytical, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
High ethical standards, unquestionable integrity, and sound professional judgment.
