Role Title: Partner Engagement Officer

Around the world, 2 billion adults don’t have a bank account. 2B. That’s about 40% of all the adults in the world. About 350 million of them live in Sub-Saharan Africa. They are young adults who work hard and have connections, but the traditional banking system doesn’t see them. Fido is about to change that. We are making a digital bank that doesn’t have any borders so that everyone can use credit, savings, and payments to make their lives easier and better.

What will you do?

You will be the main point of contact between Fido and our product partner. You will work together to give Fido’s customers a savings product. Your main job will be to manage the relationship and collaboration between the two organizations, making sure there is good communication, that customer needs are understood and met, and that the savings product is well-kept. Your work will be a key part of growing the business, making customers happier, and building a strong, mutually beneficial relationship with the partner.

Key Duties

  • Relationship Management: Set up and maintain a good relationship with our partner, acting as the main point of contact for all things related to working together. Build a strong working relationship to make it easier to communicate and work together.
  • Customer Needs Assessment: Talk to Fido’s customers to find out what they need, what they like, and what they think. And speak up for customer needs and expectations when talking with the partner about how to work together.
  • Coordination of Product Information: Gather relevant product information from the partner, organize it, and share it with internal stakeholders. Make sure that all teams have correct and up-to-date information about the product to help with marketing, sales, and customer service.
  • Issue Escalation and Resolution: Find potential problems or roadblocks in the process of working together and bring them to the attention of the right people right away so they can be fixed. Work with both Fido and the other person to figure out what to do.
  • Performance Monitoring: Keep an eye on how the product is doing after it has been released. Look at things like customer adoption, usage patterns, and feedback. Give regular reports on performance to the right teams at Fido and the partner.
  • Continuous Improvement: Always look for ways to improve the way you work together, figure out where you could make changes, and use best practices to make the partnership work best.

Qualification and Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a similar field.
  • Proven experience working with or managing partnerships for financial products, ideally in the banking or financial services industry.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work well with stakeholders both inside and outside the company.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills, with a sharp eye for details.
  • Learn about savings products and how their markets work.
  • Problem-solving mindset and the ability to take charge of challenges.
  • Ability to work both on your own and with a group.
