Role Overview
As an OTIS-certified Technician, you will perform comprehensive troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance services on elevator and escalator systems. You will respond to emergency call-outs while implementing preventive maintenance programs according to manufacturer specifications. This position demands both technical proficiency and strict adherence to safety protocols in dynamic work environments.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Service & Diagnostics
- Conduct advanced troubleshooting and diagnostics on OTIS elevator systems
- Analyze controller faults, error codes, and electrical schematics
- Perform emergency repairs to restore elevator operation promptly
- Utilize specialized diagnostic software and testing equipment
Preventive Maintenance & Optimization
- Execute scheduled maintenance following OTIS service standards
- Optimize elevator performance through systematic adjustments
- Maintain detailed service records and performance documentation
- Identify potential issues before they impact system operation
Safety Compliance & Reporting
- Implement all safety protocols required by OTIS and 3VF LTD
- Prepare accurate service reports and maintenance documentation
- Conduct safety inspections and risk assessments
- Maintain compliance with quality assurance standards
Team Collaboration & Technical Support
- Coordinate with Maintenance and Construction Managers on complex issues
- Provide technical guidance to junior team members when required
- Participate in ongoing technical training and skill development
- Share best practices and technical knowledge within the team
Qualifications and Experience
Essential Requirements:
- Valid OTIS certification in elevator systems maintenance
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with OTIS elevator systems
- Comprehensive understanding of Gen2 and MRL technologies
- Ability to interpret electrical schematics and technical diagrams
Technical Competencies:
- Proficiency with elevator diagnostic software tools
- Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Knowledge of elevator safety systems and protocols
- Experience with preventive maintenance procedures
