POSITION: Import and Export Officer

Position Summary:

Nestlé is seeking an Import and Export Officer at Nestlé Business Services Office to guarantee exceptional service delivery on invoice payments for import, export, and customer service export operations, overseeing daily activities and strictly adhering to all relevant import and export laws and regulations, in the most cost-effective and timely way.

Your Duties

  • Verify that all import documentation is thorough, precise, and adheres to regulatory standards.
  • Ensure adherence to governmental regulations related to imports, trade agreements, and international operations.
  • Closely observe the actions of agents, regulatory bodies, and other pertinent parties to guarantee appropriate documentation in line with international trade standards.
  • Examine and confirm import expenses, such as shipping, insurance, and customs tariffs.
  • Collaborate closely with procurement, logistics, and finance teams to guarantee smooth import operations.
  • Recognize chances for enhancements in cost reconciliation and reporting processes.
  • Create reports and dashboards to monitor import expenses and performance indicators.

Requirements

  • Minimum educational requirement: At least a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Supply Chain Management.
  • Minimum Relevant work experience: At least 2 years working as a logistics officer, freight forwarding officer, clearing agent, or in a comparable role.

A minimum of two years of applicable experience or position in a market/business setting:

  • Transport and Trade of Goods
  • International Trade & Customs
  • Capacity to be practical and grounded in facts
  • Understanding of import compliance and customs regulations.
  • Capacity for analysis
  • The capability to work collaboratively within a team
  • Capability to innovate by exploring new methods to enhance or streamline the logistics or supply chain processes.
  • Effective communication abilities
  • Focus on specifics.
  • Being able to communicate in French or Portuguese is a valuable asset.
