1. JOB TITLE: PROGRAMME OFFICERÂ
JOB PURPOSE
To provide technical and operational leadership for the effective, planning of programmes and projects at the CouncilÂ
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure the development of plans, programmes and projects for the achievement of objective of the Council.
- Lead in the development of frameworks for enhanced networking with NGOs, Development Partners and other relevant stakeholders in support of the programmes and projects on mainstreaming disability into nation building.
- Approve performances indicators for the assessment of projects and programmes at the national level, regional and district levels.
- Monitor and evaluates the implementation of programmes and projects for effective disability mainstreaming.
- Facilitate the sensitization and the training of staff.
- Coordinate the implementation of the Council’s Annual work plan and the budgetÂ
- Contribute to the development of resources mobilization strategies for programmes and projects.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
-   A minimum of a master’s degree in Social Sciences, Social Work or related field from an accredited tertiary institution
- A degree in Disability Studies and/or Disability law is an advantageÂ
- A member of a recognised professional body
- A minimum of four (4) years post-qualification relevant work experience in a reputable institution SKILL-MIX AND COMPETENCES

2. JOB TITLE: ADMINISTRATION AND HUMAN RESOURCEÂ
JOB PURPOSEÂ Â
To provide technical and administrative support in the provision and utilization of human and material resources for the achievement of the mandate of the Council.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESÂ
- Ensure the development of operational work plan for the Council
- Coordinate the acquisition of human and material resources for effective and efficient implementation of programmes and activities of the CouncilÂ
- Ensure the development of guidelines and procedures for the management and utilisation of human and material resources of the Council
- Facilitate the development of strategic and other plans of the Council
- Supervise the organisation of workshops, seminars, fairs, conferences, durbars, etc. of the Council
- Ensure the preparation and submission of annual budgets of the Council
- Ensure the preparation and submission of annual and other periodic reports of the Council
- Ensure the implementation of performance management policy in the Council
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- A maximum of a master’s degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Social Sciences or related field from an accredited tertiary institution
- A degree in Disability Studies or Disability law is an advantageÂ
- A member of a recognised professional body
- A minimum of six (6) years post-qualification relevant work experience in a reputable institutionÂ

3. JOB TILTLE: INTERNAL AUDITOR
JOB PURPOSE
To provide leadership and technical direction on effective controls, risk management and governance processes in the Council
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure the development and implementation of internal audit work plan
- Undertake internal audit assignments in accordance with approved plans of the Council
- Conduct risk evaluation of assigned functional area or department of the Council.Â
- Prepare internal audit reports on the activities of the Council and make appropriate recommendationsÂ
- Ensure the development of and adherence to guidelines and procedures on the activities and programmes of the Council
- To ensure the implementation of Audit Committee recommendationsÂ
- Ensure the design and implementation of appropriate training programmes for staff in the Internal Audit Unit of the Council
- Ensure the preparation and submission of the budget of the Council
- Ensure the preparation and submission of annual and other reports
- Ensure the implementation of performance management policy of the CouncilÂ
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCEÂ
- A maximum of a Master’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Auditing or related field from an accredited tertiary institution
- A member of a recognised professional accounting or auditing body such as CIA, ICAG, ACCA, CPA, CIMA
- A minimum of four (4) years post professional qualification work experience in a reputable institutionÂ

4.  JOB TITLE: FINANCE MANAGER JOB PURPOSE:                 Â
To provide operational support for effective administration and management of the Council’s financial resources.
Â
 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide inputs for formulation of policies of the Council
- Provide technical guidance and directives to the team members in line with the set objectives of the Council.
- Design and maintains effective accounting and internal control systems.
- Prepare annual budget and financial statements in accordance with approved standards
- Collate data for the analyses of financial transactions, recording and keeping the books of accounts.
- Check and vets all financial documents before payments are effected, and ensures that details are properly entered into the appropriate ledgers.
- Draft technical reports on the performance of the section.
- Supervise and appraise the performance of subordinate staff in the department
- Supervise the preparation and submission of annual and other periodic departmental reports
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- A maximum of a Master’s Degree in Business Administration (Accounting) or equivalent professional qualification from an accredited institution
- Membership of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Ghana (ICA, GH) or a recognized professional accounting body
- A minimum of one (1) year post qualification relevant work experience in a reputable institution
- Must pass a selection interview conducted by the Ghana Book Development Council in collaboration with the Public Services Commission

5. JOB TILTLE: PROFESSIONAL DRIVER
JOB PURPOSEÂ
Drive to assigned designations and maintain cleanliness of assigned vehicles at all times and observe maintenance regulations.Â

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform routine checks and comply with service regulations of vehicles;
- Drive with professional driving skills;
- Perform courier services;
- Comply with Vehicle maintenance rules of the Council;
- Perform vehicle inspection before and after every trip;
- Undertake any other duties that may be assigned to you from time to time.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCEÂ
- A minimum of Senior High School qualification;
- A minimum of 5years driving experience;
- Holder of valid Driver’s License.Â

6. JOB TITLE: RESOURCE MOBILIZATION OFFICER
JOB PURPOSEÂ Â
To take practical activities for securing new and additional resources for the realization of the objective of the Council. Â
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESÂ Â
1. Identify solicited and unsolicited funding opportunities, listing them and sharing the information with the Executive Secretary;
2. Â Develop fund generation and resource mobilization work plan, and constantly follow up the implementation of the work plan;
3. Â Take the lead in developing concept notes, develop proposal and program for funding;
4. Â Organize fundraising activities;
5. Liaise with donors to set priorities for funding;
6. Â Identify, establish and maintain relations with partners based on trust;
7. Â Actively participate in negotiation and facilitate signing of new funding agreements;
8. Â Â Ensure that the Council Complies with donor policies and priorities;
9. Â Â Establish, maintain networks of donors and update donor profiles;
10. Update the Executive Secretary on donors’ strategies and policies;Â
11. Lead in drafting donor specific strategy papers, providing inputs for regular reports on technical cooperation and assisting in the preparation of briefings for senior management of the Council;
12. Organize formal meetings with donor agencies and implement follow-up actions;
13. Facilitate the negotiation and signing of new funding agreements;
14. Implement the Council’s Public-Private Partnership resource mobilization strategy;
15. Perform other duties as required by the Council.Â
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- A maximum of a Master’s Degree in International Development, Economics, Public Finance, Public Administration, Social Sciences, or any other relevant field;
- Membership of recognized professional bodies;
- A minimum of two (2) years post qualification relevant work experience in a reputable institution is an advantage;
- Fluency in English, knowledge of French will be an advantage;
- Experience in fundraising for activities of persons with disabilities is an added advantage;
- Experience in Networking, Partnerships and collaboration;
- Experience in Proposal writing, project planning and management;
- Ability to work effectively within multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural teams;
- A demonstration of strong quantitative and analytical skills;
- A history of Excellent listening, writing and effective communication skills;
- Expertise in fundraising for activities of persons with disabilities is an added advantage; Ø The experience of establishing possible opportunities for funding is a plus.

JOB TITLE: JANITORÂ
JOB PURPOSE:
To provide care and maintain sanitation standard at the Council.
 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform cleaning duties, such as cleaning floors, shampooing rugs, glass, and removing rubbish;
- Notifying management of need for repairs;
- Perform courier services;
- Perform any other duties that may be assigned to ensure the achievement of the objective of the Council;
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- A minimum of Junior School qualification;Â
- A minimum of two (2) years of working experience.
