Job Description

Job Summary

As the Business Developer, you will lead and be responsible for the development and implementation of new business ideas and growth opportunities for the ‘MyHealthCop’ Platform.

This includes getting new partners, entering new markets and developing new products.

You are also responsible for managing and recruiting Service Providers and Consultants for the Platform.

Responsibilities

  • Develop an EcoSystem of Service Providers and Consultants for the MYHEALTHCOP Platform
  • Develop New Businesses for the Platform
  • Develop Commercial Strategies to Retain Customers
  • Business Development Planning

Management & Administrative Responsibilities

  1. Develop an EcoSystem of Service Providers & Consultants for the MYHEALTHCOP Platform
  • Prospect for potential new local and international Service Providers & Consultants and onboard them onto the Platform for increased business.
  • Cold-call as appropriate and as frequently as possible within your market and geographic area to ensure a robust pipeline of Service Providers & Consultants’ recruitment.
  • Train/ Develop Service Providers & Consultants and drive opportunities for them.
  • Schedule periodic meetings to support existing Service Providers & Consultants to drive new business with MYHEALTHCOP’s Solutions and Services, by growing, maintaining, and leveraging your people network.
  • Identify potential new Service Providers & Consultants and build relationships with them.
  • Set up periodic meetings between Service Providers & Consultants and MYHEALTHCOP’s Leaders.
  • Plan approaches and pitches. Work with the team to develop proposals that speak to the partners’ clients’ needs, concerns, and objectives.
  • Handle queries, complaints and objections from Service Providers & Consultants by clarifying, emphasizing agreements and working through differences to a positive conclusion.
  • Use a variety of styles to persuade or negotiate appropriately.

2. Develop New Businesses for the Platform

  • Prospect for potential new local and international Customers and turn this into increased business.
  • Cold-call as appropriate and as frequently as possible within your market and geographic area to ensure a robust pipeline of opportunities.
  • Visit and meet potential Customers by growing, maintaining, and leveraging your people network.
  • Plan approaches and pitches. Work with the team to develop business ideas that speak to the Customers’ needs, concerns, and objectives.
  • Liaise with the Customer Service Team to handle objections by clarifying, emphasizing agreements and working through differences to a positive conclusion. Use a variety of styles to persuade or negotiate appropriately.
  • Present an image that mirrors that of the Customer.

3. Develop Commercial Strategies to Retain Customers

  • Present new products and services and enhance existing relationships.
  • Engage Customers through periodic Social Media Posts related to Healthy Living & Wellness.
  • Work with Technical Staff and other internal Colleagues to meet Customer needs.
  • Arrange and participate in internal and external Customer debriefs.

​4. Business Development Planning

  • Attend industry functions, such as association events and conferences, and provide feedback and information on market and creative trends.
  • Present to and consult with mid and senior level management on business trends with a view to developing new services, products, and distribution channels.
  • Identify opportunities for campaigns, services, and distribution channels that will lead to an increase in sales.
  • Using knowledge of the market and competitors, identify and develop MYHEALTHCOP’s unique selling propositions and differentiators.
  • Submit weekly progress reports and ensure data is accurate.
  • Forecast sales targets and ensure they are met by the team.
  • Track and record activities of Service Providers & Consultants and help to close deals.
  • Work with the team to ensure that prerequisites (like prequalification or getting on the Service Providers & Consultants list) are fulfilled within a timely manner.

5. Management & Administrative Responsibilities

  • Submit weekly progress reports and ensure data is accurate.
  • Forecast sales targets and ensure they are met by the team.
  • Track and record activities of Service Providers & Consultants and help to close deals.
  • Work with the team to ensure that prerequisites (like prequalification or getting on the Service Providers & Consultants list) are fulfilled within a timely manner.
  • Ensure all team members represent the company in the best light.
  • Present business development training and mentoring to internal staff.
  • Understand MYHEALTHCOP’s goal and purpose to continuously enhance the Company’s performance.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by your Leaders.

Required Skills or Experience

Qualification

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing or any other Relevant Field.
  • Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Strong strategic, systems thinking and problem solving skills, with the capacity to see the bigger picture.
  • Excellent Interpersonal Relations Skills.
  • Ability to relate to people at all levels both internally and externally.
  • Computer Literate and Strong Command of using Software Solutions
  • Articulate and Analytical with attention to detail.
  • Strong Communication and Presentation Skills (written & verbal)
  • Excellent Negotiation Skills
  • Proactive, Resourceful, Solutions- Oriented & Results- Oriented.
  • Able to work on own initiative and must be innovative.
  • Be an Ambassador of Healthy Living
  • Must be Reliable, have Integrity, Care for others and strive for Excellence

Experience

  • At least One (1) year work experience in a similar or any related field.
