Applications are open for Fully Funded Muhammad Bin Zayed University Scholarships in UAE for the 2024 academic year. This scholarship is available to international students to undertake Master’s, and Ph.D. level programs at Muhammad bin Zayed University.

• Health insurance as well as sponsorship for non-UAE citizens obtaining a UAE visa.
• A monthly stipend that is contingent upon compliance with the policies of the university as detailed in the university catalog. The following are the stipend amounts:

Regarding Master of Science (MSc) candidates:

• AED 8,000 per month for students who live in the UAE and are not from abroad.
• Students from the United Arab Emirates (single) pay AED 30,000 per month.
• Married UAE national students can receive AED 33,000 per month (official documentation necessary).

For students pursuing a PhD:

AED 10,000 per month for students who live in the UAE and are not from outside.

Students from the United Arab Emirates (single) pay AED 36,000 a month.

Married UAE national students can receive AED 39,000 per month (official documentation necessary).

Please be aware that married Ph.D. students may be able to reside off campus and get an extra AED 5,000 in housing allowance, provided they are approved and provide appropriate documentation.

Qualification Criteria

The following requirements must be satisfied in order for candidates to be considered for the Muhammad Bin Zaid University Scholarship:

Language Proficiency: English language proficiency is necessary. A minimum overall score of 90 on the TOEFL iBT or a minimum overall score of 6.5 on the IELTS Academic are required as proof of an applicant’s proficiency in the English language.

Eligible Countries: Applicants may apply for the scholarship from any nation in the world.

The Master’s Program Requirement states that applicants must have successfully completed a Bachelor of Science degree, or its equivalent, from an esteemed university that has been approved or recognized by the Ministry of Education (MOE) of the United Arab Emirates. A minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.2 on a 4.0 scale (or its equivalent) is required of applicants, and their application must include all of their transcripts and degree certificates in English.

Master of Science degrees or their equivalent from respectable universities approved or acknowledged by the UAE Ministry of Education (MOE) are required for admission to Ph.D. programs. A minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.2 on a 4.0 scale (or its equivalent) is required of applicants, who also need to provide their transcripts and all of their degree certificates in English.

Verification of Degrees: Applicants with degrees from UAE universities must submit an attestation of their degree, while those with degrees from non-UAE universities must present an equivalence certificate to the university during their first semester. Graduate Record Examination (GRE): While not required, a GRE General score is helpful and will be considered when assessing candidates.
