MTN, VODA, AirtelTigo airtime deducted after loading? FIND OUT WHY
The Telecommunications industry in Ghana consisting of MTN, VODA, AirtelTigo is complying with the communication tax deductions. Our correspondent has made available reasons to explain to customers why their airtime is being deducted.
Today marks the effective date for the implementation of the communication tax. This is an increase in communication service tax.CST, which is now at 9%, will be applied to any recharge purchase. For every GH¢ 1 of recharge purchased, a 9% CST fee will be charged leaving GhS0.91 for purchase of products and services.
The 9% communication tax is an immediate deduction after loading airtime. SIM card users across the country are all experiencing it regardless of the network network type.
