MOST POPULAR MOBILE PHONE BRANDS THAT ARE MADE IN AFRICA
Most of the smartphones used worldwide are made in Africa. There are several popular mobile phone brands yet these brands were not manufactured in Africa. Such phones include Tecno, Samsung, Itel, iPhone, and Infinix. This article rather focuses on and lists some of the popular mobile phone brands that are made in Africa.
LIST OF MOBILE PHONE BRANDS MADE IN AFRICA
1. Firstly, MARA X AND MARA Z PHONES
The Mara X and Mara Z Phones were manufactured by the Mara Group in Rwanda. The phone was first launched in Kigali in Rwanda. According to the CEO Of Mara Group, Thakkar, the Mara Phones were fully manufactured and not assembled. The CEO also said that this new manufacturing will go a long way to bring a huge pride to Mara Group, Rwanda, and the African continent as a whole.
2. Secondly, ALCATEL ONYX
The Alcatel Onyx smartphone was manufactured by the Onyx Connect in South Africa. Onyx has about 11 million investments from several investors. The Alcatel Onyx is one of the popular mobile phone brands that was manufactured in Africa. The Alcatel Onyx was released in January 2019. The smartphone is also very affordable and comes with great features. Alcatel Onyx is known to be the successor of the Alcatel 1X 2018 model.
3. VMK is another popular phone brand manufactured in Africa
The VMK smartphones and tablets were designed by the Mankou technology company in 2006. The VMK devices run Google’s Android software. The founder of VMK devices is Vérone Mankou from the Republic of Congo.
4. Also, AFROINE
Afrione phones are manufactured in Nigeria by AfriOne in Lagos. It was released in 2016. Sahir Berry is the founder and CEO of AfriOne. These phones run Google’s Android version with some other specifications.
5. LASTLY, SOLO PHONES
Solo phones were launched in the year 2003 in Nigeria. Apart from the regular accessories that the phone has, the Solo phone also comes with free accessories like an 8 Gigabyte SD card, a phone case, and a Screen protector. It also has a battery capacity that lasts very long.
