Responsibilities

Deliver engaging ELA instruction using varied teaching strategies to support different learning styles and ability levels
Design motivating lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards and student development needs
Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages inquiry, literacy, and global perspectives
Use formative and summative assessments to guide instruction and monitor student progress
Maintain clear expectations, routines, and procedures for classwork, homework, and assessments
Communicate effectively with parents, colleagues, and administrators regarding student performance
Participate actively in faculty meetings, professional development, and IB-related training
Meet grading deadlines and follow school-wide reporting and feedback procedures

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field
Missouri Teaching Certificate or eligibility for certification (or equivalent international qualification)
Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience for visa-sponsored international applicants
Strong classroom management and organizational skills
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
Experience with International Baccalaureate (MYP/DP) preferred
Ability to integrate technology into teaching and learning
Willingness to complete background clearance checks
