Job Title: Financial Controller

Role Purpose
Manage the finance function by using professional and ethical financial practices and services that provide quality and accurate financial information and financial reporting to support and enable business processes and decision-making.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field with 8 years of work experience or a bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field with 12 years of work experience.
- At least two to three years of experience working at the top level.
- Must be a Certified Public Accountant (ICAG, ACCA, CIMA)
- Having experience in the insurance business is a plus.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Take care of the day-to-day financial and accounting tasks
- Coordinate and put together the annual budget and financial forecasts.
- Make regular reports to the CFO, EXCO, and Group Finance about how the business is doing compared to the budget.
- Lead the finance team through internal and external audits and the creation of annual financial statements.
- Make sure financial transactions and financial reporting are done well.
- Manage and meet all legal and regulatory requirements for reporting
- Maintain and improve internal controls by putting in place business processes and accounting policies
- Make sure that the GL accounts are reconciled every month and that any reconciling items are taken care of quickly.
- Management of cash flow to make sure that obligations are met when they are due.
- Build and keep up relationships with fund managers, banks, and other internal and external stakeholders.
- Do any other tasks that the supervisor gives you that are within the role’s scope and context.
