This role is a cornerstone of our daily service excellence. You will supervise staff, oversee dining room operations, and ensure every guest interaction reflects the Marriott standard. By fostering a positive team environment and leading by example, you will directly contribute to an atmosphere where both guests and team members feel valued and respected.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Operations:
- Guide and supervise the F&B team to work collaboratively, ensuring optimal guest service.
- Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, and providing constructive feedback to staff.
- Serve as a role model and the first point of contact for our Guarantee of Fair Treatment policy.
- Complete opening and closing duties, manage supplies, and ensure all equipment and areas are clean and organized.
Guest Experience & Safety:
- Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to Marriott standards, anticipating and addressing their needs proactively.
- Monitor dining rooms for seating, service flow, and guest well-being.
- Ensure adherence to all safety, security, and quality standards, reporting any concerns immediately.
Administrative & Inventory Control:
- Inspect storage areas, enforce FIFO procedures, and complete scheduled inventories.
- Submit work orders for maintenance and requisition necessary supplies.
- Identify and recommend opportunities to improve efficiency, productivity, and cost-effectiveness.
Physical & Professional Requirements:
- Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods and lift/move objects up to 50 pounds.
- Maintain a clean, professional uniform and appearance.
- Read and verify information in various formats and visually inspect tools and equipment.
- Communicate clearly and professionally while building positive working relationships.
Your Profile and Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- Related Experience: At least two years of relevant work experience in food and beverage service.
- Supervisory Experience: Minimum one year in a supervisory or team lead capacity.
- A passion for hospitality, exceptional interpersonal skills, and a genuine desire to lead and develop others.
