Job Title: Centre Midwife
About Marie Stopes International Ghana (MSIG)
Marie Stopes International Ghana (MSIG), a division of MSI Reproductive Choices global partnership offers high-quality, safe services as well as advocacy to foster enabling environments that ensure each client has access to safe services whenever and wherever they are required.
The mission of MSIG is to improve access to Family Planning (FP) and other Sexual Reproductive Health (SRH) services while also addressing the needs of the underprivileged. We think every woman has the right to decide what she wants to do with her own body and future.

Position Description
Contract term is one (1) year, fixed-term (Renewable)
The Centre Midwife’s primary duty will be to deliver top-notch MSIG clinical services at the designated center of excellence. She will be expected to assist the midwife or center manager in maintaining high-quality clinical services and fostering a friendly and welcoming environment for all customers. The Center Midwife will answer to the local Senior Midwife who serves as the Center Manager for that location.
Responsibilities
- Assist in keeping an eye on the schedules of every clinical team member working at the center.
- Provide healthcare services, such as long-acting family planning techniques, effectively.
- Ensure that all clinical tools and items are maintained properly.
- To provide customer satisfaction at all times, promote and maintain a welcome, amiable, professional, and effective atmosphere toward all clients in the center.
- When necessary, offer advice and support to clients so they may make wise FP/SRH decisions.
- Make sure clinical issues are prevented or expertly handled at locations where services are provided.
- Offer the essential clinical services required by MSIG, such as IUCD, implant placement, MSP, and MSMP.
- Help the Senior Midwife (the center manager) monitor the monthly performance of the center and provide the necessary recommendations to achieve the goals the center has established.
- Support all clinical trainings taking place at the center level.
Required Knowledge or Expertise
- Must possess a valid midwifery clinical qualification.
- Must be in good standing and registered with a local clinical professional organization in Ghana.
- To work with less supervision, you must have the necessary experience.
