Manitoba and Alberta Invite Candidates to Apply for Provincial Nomination

Manitoba and Alberta have recently issued Invitations to Apply (ITAs) for their Provincial Nominee Programs (PNPs). These invitations allow candidates to pursue nomination for permanent residency in Canada.

Manitoba’s Invitation Details

Manitoba issued letters of advice to apply under two streams: the Skilled Worker in Manitoba and the Skilled Worker Overseas streams. This initiative aims to attract skilled workers to the province.

• On March 6, Manitoba’s Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) held draws under both streams. The first draw targeted the Skilled Worker in Manitoba stream, inviting 98 candidates. The lowest-ranked candidate in this draw had a score of 861.
• The second draw focused on the Skilled Worker Overseas stream, inviting 13 candidates. The lowest-ranked candidate in this draw had a score of 724. This draw specifically invited profiles that had been directly recruited by the MPNP through a strategic initiative.

In total, the MPNP issued 111 Letters of Advice to Apply. Notably, 27 of these letters went to candidates with a valid Express Entry profile number and job seeker validation code.

Alberta’s Recent Draws

Meanwhile, Alberta conducted multiple immigration draws over the past few weeks. On March 5, the province held a draw specifically for law enforcement workers. In February, Alberta also conducted draws for candidates in the healthcare, technology, construction, and agriculture sectors.

The Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP) held several draws from February 7 to March 6. These draws occurred through various streams, including the Alberta Express Entry Stream, Alberta Opportunity Stream, and Dedicated Health Care Pathway.
