About the Job Position

Big Freight Systems Inc. is currently hiring for the position of long-haul truck driver. This role offers permanent, full-time employment. Shifts may vary, including day, evening, night, weekend, and early morning options.

Job Position Duties

As a long-haul truck driver, you will:

• Address customer complaints or concerns professionally.
• Instruct colleagues on new work techniques.
• Maintain a high level of customer service.
• Operate a vehicle as part of a convoy or team.
• Load and unload products safely.
• Acquire necessary permits for international transportation.
• Drive straight or articulated trucks for deliveries.
• Inspect the vehicle’s condition, including brakes and lights.
• Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections.
• Perform preventive maintenance on vehicles.
• Communicate with central dispatch regarding cargo and routes.
• Record cargo information, service hours, and fuel usage.
• Ensure the safety and security of cargo, including tarping when necessary.

Qualifications for the Job

To qualify for this position, you must:

• Have a high proficiency in English.
• Also, hold a Class 1/1F/A license for semi-trailer vehicles.
• In addition, possess an Air Brakes Endorsement Certification.
• Likewise, be able to lift to 23 kg (50 lbs).
• Similarly, exhibit effective interpersonal and communication skills.
• Besides that, demonstrate strong judgment and dependability.
• Moreover, be flexible and organized with solid teamwork skills.
• Furthermore, be prepared for hard labor and physically demanding work.

Salaries

The salary for this position is $25.10 per hour, based on a 40-hour work week. This competitive pay reflects the skills and dedication required for the job.
