    April 17th, 2020 at 08:07 am

A native of Atwima Kwanwoma, Mr. Kofi Amankwa-Manu has donated over 2000 bags of 5kg rice to vulnerable persons across various homes within the over 50 communities in the Constituency. It will be recalled that, in the midst of the ongoing global Covid-19 pandemic, the President of Ghana, H.E Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo-Addo through an Act of Parliament have imposed some restrictive measures on movement in some seleced MMDAs in Greater Accra, Ashanti and Central regions. The very necessary but painful government declaration has imposed a level of hardships on some individuals in the affected areas.

For this reason, the Aspiring Parliamentary Candidate on the ticket of NPP have thought it a duty to contribute his widow’s mite. Some of the target beneficiaries include widows, persons with disability, the aged and persons who are considered needy in their respective societies.

Donations and distributions were done at the doorsteps of beneficiaries in order not to the contradict the President’s directives on public gatherings. He also used the occasion to advise beneficiaries to adhere to the many measures outlined by government to curtail the spread of the virus.
