About the Role

Responsibilities

Lead backend system design and development using Java and Spring Boot
Architect and build scalable, secure, high-performance distributed systems
Design and implement event-driven and data processing systems using Kafka
Build and maintain large-scale ETL pipelines for healthcare data platforms
Develop cloud-native systems on AWS using Docker and Kubernetes
Own system performance, scalability, reliability, and production readiness
Create reusable services, APIs, and platform components
Lead technical design reviews, code reviews, and engineering best practices
Mentor engineers and drive engineering standards and documentation
Collaborate closely with product, data, and platform leadership teams

Requirements

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
5–10 years of backend engineering experience in large-scale systems
Strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and microservices architectures
Hands-on experience with Kafka or similar distributed messaging systems
Experience with AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes in production environments
Strong background in system design, data modeling, and performance optimization
Proven experience building ETL or data-intensive processing pipelines
Solid SQL knowledge and experience with complex data systems
Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and Agile development practices
Strong communication skills and demonstrated technical leadership ability
