About the Role

As Lead Software Engineer, you will take technical ownership of critical backend systems that process and power massive volumes of healthcare data. Responsibilities

  • Lead backend system design and development using Java and Spring Boot
  • Architect and build scalable, secure, high-performance distributed systems
  • Design and implement event-driven and data processing systems using Kafka
  • Build and maintain large-scale ETL pipelines for healthcare data platforms
  • Develop cloud-native systems on AWS using Docker and Kubernetes
  • Own system performance, scalability, reliability, and production readiness
  • Create reusable services, APIs, and platform components
  • Lead technical design reviews, code reviews, and engineering best practices
  • Mentor engineers and drive engineering standards and documentation
  • Collaborate closely with product, data, and platform leadership teams

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
  • 5–10 years of backend engineering experience in large-scale systems
  • Strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and microservices architectures
  • Hands-on experience with Kafka or similar distributed messaging systems
  • Experience with AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes in production environments
  • Strong background in system design, data modeling, and performance optimization
  • Proven experience building ETL or data-intensive processing pipelines
  • Solid SQL knowledge and experience with complex data systems
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and Agile development practices
  • Strong communication skills and demonstrated technical leadership ability
