Role Purpose

Boost Ghana is looking for dynamic, energetic, results-oriented sales and marketing personnel to implement our distribution channel strategy, acquire MSME customers, and manage the relationship with them.

What will you be doing:

Channel Development:

  • Support the Head of Business Development / COO in the development and execution of our RTM plan
  • Identify, enumerate and map out target customers in assigned territory to maximize the penetration of Boost in the territory
  • Support the Operations Team in the development of efficient route plans for the fulfillment of customer orders
  • Support the recruitment of independent Boost agents for the fulfillment of customer orders within the territory

Customer Acquisition & Sales:

  • Effectively execute sales and marketing strategies to acquire new customers in the territory
  • Nurture new customers into regular customers to increase Boost’s share of wallet
  • Maintain a solid, up to date sales pipeline to convert prospects to new customers
  • Develop customer revenue by upselling and/or cross-selling products and services to customers
  • Train and support customers on how to use our products and services to improve their businesses
  • Drive maximum customer revenue on a weekly basis and achieve the sales budget for the territory

Customer service:

  • Manage customer relationship within the territory to ensure maximum customer satisfaction and advocacy
  • Regularly train customers to improve their adoption and understanding of our products and services
  • Attend to all customer queries on orders, payments, and deliveries including all other customer queries

Territory Reports and Competitor Insights:

  • Prepare and submit reports to the Head of Business Development
  • Gather insights and submit reports on competitor services and activities within the industry in the territory
  • Gather insights and submit reports on new products and prices within the territory

Other Operational Duties:

  • Perform other operational duties that may be assigned by your line manager from time to time

Requirements

  • Education – BSc/BA or HND in Business, Social Sciences or a related field

Experience and Competencies:

  • Proven experience as a sales and marketing professional in the FMCG industry
  • Proven track record of developing distribution channels, acquiring customers, increasing sales and revenue (field sales experience is preferred)
  • Proven track record of driving customer satisfaction and advocacy (generating referrals through customers)
  • Ability to develop sales strategies and drive the achievement KPIs
  • Must be tech-savvy – advanced users of smartphones/tablets (preferably Android) and able to use and train customers on the use of digital solutions deployed on smartphones/tablets.
  • Must have basic Excel/Google Sheets and Presentation skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills. Fluency in English and Akan required
  • Organizational and leadership ability
