POSITION: Business Development Manager, Grocery/Retail
About the Position
A Business Development Manager is tasked with recognizing new business prospects, forming strategic alliances, and promoting the adoption and growth of Grocery/Retail solutions.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Identify primary enterprise contacts in the Grocery / Retail sector within the country, while securing and finalizing agreements by building robust partnerships with stakeholders in the Grocery / Retail field.
- Engage with business partners via multiple channels to facilitate their advancement, serve as the primary contact during onboarding, resolve operational challenges, and guarantee excellent customer experiences. Furthermore, it involves examining key performance metrics, establishing growth and marketing strategies, and aligning plans to enhance performance and generate revenue.
- Oversee budgeting, evaluate performance metrics for insights on enhancements, and predict growth trends to measure the attainment of business objectives.
- Formulate and implement operational plans to tackle difficulties and guarantee seamless activation of business partners, in line with the commercial strategy during growth stages.
- Remain updated on market trends and rivals while aiding in the creation of frameworks and playbooks to enhance business operations.
- Collaborate effectively with marketing, product, customer success, campaigns, partner operations, and customer service teams to promote business expansion.
What We Anticipate About You:
- You possess a minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in grocery/retail business development, account management, B2B sales, or similar areas, demonstrating a successful history of meeting business growth and sales goals.
- You have a strong command of English and the local language, exhibiting great skill in both spoken and written communication.
- You possess excellent communication and negotiation abilities to connect with decision-makers and establish enduring partnerships with business associates.
- You possess robust analytical and problem-solving abilities to utilize data for making decisions and enhancing partner performance through insights.
- You can swiftly adjust to changes, tackle challenges proactively, and create efficient, solution-focused strategies.
