POSITION: Procurement Manager

Job Purpose:

This job is part of a special finance team that helps our staff, guests, and suppliers by handling purchases. The Manager will work with the finance team to find suppliers and manage orders to keep stock levels consistent.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Track important numbers to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
  • Work with key people to ensure clear specifications and expectations.
  • Manage the procurement budget and encourage long-term savings.
  • Create innovative and cost-effective procurement strategies.
  • Find and negotiate with reliable suppliers.
  • Review existing contracts to make sure they still work for us.
  • Build lasting relationships with vendors.
  • Approve orders and manage the delivery of goods and services.
  • Assess risks with potential contracts.
  • Organize and process orders for goods and services the hotel needs.
  • Determine timing and amounts for deliveries and coordinate with hotel teams.
  • Get the best terms from manufacturers and suppliers.
  • Prepare purchase requests and get approvals.
  • Keep procurement files organized and up-to-date.
  • Manage vendor relationships.
  • Develop and review purchase requests and ensure they are approved on time.
  • Create Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to guide teams and manage expectations.
  • Prepare procurement reports to help with decision-making.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or Business Administration. – Experience in managing supply chain operations.
  • Knowledge of supply chain management software.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Certification in a procurement-related field is a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good organizational and planning skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage resources effectively.
  • Strong leadership and analytical skills.
  • Flexibility to adapt to various work situations.
  • Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel and Word, and experience with systems like Opera.
