POSITION: Interconnect And Roaming Analyst

OBJECTIVE OF THE POSITION

The chosen candidate will design, develop, and manage a robust interconnect and roaming infrastructure for the Organization’s GSM operations in the telecom industry, employing top-tier strategies to protect revenue, maintain business reputation, reduce the risk of regulatory penalties, limit subscriber churn, and avoid interruptions in overall activities.

The position reports to the Revenue Assurance Manager.

ROLE-SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS

Successfully oversees the overall interconnect and roaming functions to ensure that leakage incidents are promptly detected and addressed to avoid financial and non-financial losses.
Guarantees that proper controls and systems are implemented to prevent and identify leakage incidents and activities pertaining to but not restricted to the following – (IRSF, Inbound roaming, Outbound roaming).
Coordinates the reviews of roaming risk and interconnections for essential products and services as needed according to the Security-by-Design strategy.
Takes charge of recognizing, coordinating, and executing mitigation strategies for newly identified interconnect and roaming risks.
Carries out planned interconnect and roaming risk evaluations.
Evaluations of reports concerning interconnectivity and roaming issues.
Participation in external/internal connectivity and roaming forum events.
Examination of internal and external trends related to interconnect and roaming events.
Tasked with resolving audit and compliance matters.
Informs senior management about newly identified interconnect and roaming risks.

Necessary Skills or Experience

MINIMUM REQUIREMENT

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Information Technology; knowledge of Accounting will be a plus.
Having a relevant professional qualification will be beneficial.
At least 3 years of related work experience.
Extensive understanding of GSM operational activities.

INDIVIDUAL CRITERIA FOR SELECTION

Extremely analytical, precise, and keen focus on details.
Expertise in risk management systems, security measures, and fraud mitigation tactics.
Robust communication and stakeholder engagement abilities for orchestrating risk assessments and mitigation plans.
Capacity to understand and evaluate reports and trends associated with interconnections and roaming.
