POSITION: Business Development Manager
Job Purpose
As a Business Development Manager, your role will involve helping to establish and nurture strong connections with clients while ensuring their requirements are fulfilled. To deliver outstanding customer service, foster trust and loyalty with clients, seek new business opportunities, and address any potential issues, you need to possess exceptional communication skills. You must have excellent problem-solving skills to swiftly determine the optimal solutions for customer problems.
Role Summary
You will be tasked with helping to cultivate new business within the Company’s designated strategic business groups (SBG). Recognizes potential customers to populate the sales funnel and collaborates with existing and new clients to promote pest prevention solutions in the National Commercial sector. Client retention and Net Promoter Score (NPS) are essential metrics that this role influences.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Help to pinpoint national or regional account opportunities that align with the Company’s business model.
- Help to recognize and cultivate connections with decision-makers inside the prospects’ organization.
- Utilize the company’s CRM system to input, revise, and manage data on potential customers and clients.
- Uses the Company’s assets to create momentum that advances the prospect through the sales funnel into becoming an active client.
- Help in creating strategic sales solutions while comprehending the corporate culture of potential clients. Approaches might involve sales pitches, contract discussions, and finalizing/signing with potential clients.
- Aids in account implementation by grasping the technical and advisory components of selling the Company’s service(s) and by ensuring that all members of the Company’s team are informed on developments and actions that take place.
- Participates in regular meetings with clients according to protocols; quarterly business evaluations, annual corporate assessments, and audits as per the agreement.
- Facilitate strong communication that showcases the Company’s Team’s collective efforts in delivering and executing a high-quality product and service to our clients.
- Could collaborate with current accounts to aid in client retention, foster growth through program enhancements, price hikes, etc., and address any client concerns.
- Recognizes business requirements and prospects to enhance performance and expansion by utilizing company operational systems or assets.
- Increases sales in current accounts, emphasizes customer support, builds connections with important decision-makers, comprehends and addresses customer demands, and observes and manages account activities.
Necessary Skills or Experience
- A bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related area, or a comparable mix of education and experience is necessary. Master’s degree is desirable.
- 3-5 years of experience in marketing commercial services on a National or Regional level.
- Exhibited abilities in business growth.
- Robust negotiation and presentation abilities
- Commercial and financial insight
- Skills in strategic and inventive thinking
- Skills in project management, organization, multitasking, and prioritization
- Coaching and persuasion abilities
- Skill in Microsoft Office programs (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Capability and readiness to travel as required for the business unit, including overnight trips.
- Travel requirement of up to 40%
- Will receive training to acquire and keep pest control licenses.
- Required to possess a driver’s license.
