Job Title: Assistant Marketing Manager

The Opportunity

We are seeking a proactive and strategic Assistant Marketing Manager to join our dynamic team. This role is central to shaping the university’s market presence and achieving ambitious enrolment goals. You will support the implementation of our comprehensive marketing strategy, collaborating closely with key departments to attract top students and establish a strong brand reputation. This position is ideal for a marketing professional passionate about education and making a tangible impact.

Key Responsibilities

You will play a key role in driving awareness and engagement for our programs. Your primary duties will include:

  • First, you will support the execution of the university’s marketing strategy, aligning all activities with our institutional goals.
  • You will collaborate directly with the Recruitment and Admissions teams to develop integrated campaigns that meet enrolment targets.
  • A core responsibility involves managing marketing processes and spearheading initiatives for continuous departmental improvement.
  • Furthermore, you will develop and manage public relations campaigns to ensure a consistent, positive corporate image and reputation.
  • You will also coordinate the university’s participation in key events, including educational fairs, school visits, and expos.
  • Additionally, you will conduct vital market research and competitor analysis, preparing insightful intelligence reports to guide strategy.
  • You will contribute to creating compelling content for our website, prospectuses, and all marketing materials.
  • You will monitor, analyze, and report on the performance of all marketing campaigns to measure effectiveness and ROI.
  • You will identify and develop strategic partnerships and sponsorship opportunities with schools, corporations, and industry bodies.
  • Finally, you will ensure the effective utilization of our marketing automation platform, Active Campaign, across relevant teams.

Required Skills & Experience

The ideal candidate will bring substantial experience and a strategic mindset:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Mass Communication, or a closely related field.
  • A minimum of five years of progressive experience in a marketing or sales role, preferably within the higher education sector.
  • Strong expertise in marketing principles, public relations, digital marketing trends, and brand management.
  • A professional marketing certification (e.g., CIM) is highly advantageous.
  • Excellent research, analytical, presentation, and report-writing skills.
  • Outstanding communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
  • Proficiency in the MS Office Suite and modern digital marketing tools.
