POSITION: Financial Accounting Advisory Services (FAAS) Senior
Job Purpose
As an FAAS Senior, you will use your technical accounting abilities in IFRS/IPSAS, practical expertise in financial reporting, and comprehensive sector knowledge to assist our clients directly and indirectly.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Your duties will include, but are not restricted to:
- Advising customers on the use of new and existing IFRS accounting rules.
- Assessing the impact of recently enacted accounting standards (mainly IFRS 9, 10, 11, 15, 16, and 17).
- Focus on the application of technical accounting, especially accounting policy conversions and GAAP analysis, financial statement preparation, implementation support for new standards, and training.
- Provide technical accounting support to other EY Service Lines.
- Provide technical accounting training to clients and internal organizations.
- Participate in IFRS analysis methods, with an emphasis on complex and/or specialized concerns.

Qualifications
- First degree in related subjects such as accounting or finance, e.g., BSc Accounting, BCom.
- You must be a chartered accountant with ICAG/ACCA.
- 2-3 years of post-qualification experience.
- Excellent written and vocal communication skills in English.
- High motivation and ambition to work in professional services.
- Proven ability to develop excellent client relationships.
- Demonstrated analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong technical accounting background.
Other Skills
- Proficient IT skills (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- Basic quantitative skills.
- Continuous learner
