POSITION: Sales Executive
Job Description
Aya Data is searching for an experienced Sales Executive to help drive rapid revenue growth in one of West Africa’s most promising AI startups. As part of this function, you will sell to large global organizations and African firms, contribute to sales strategy, optimize procedures, and report on sales activities.
Candidates should be enthusiastic about AI and its potential, capable of presenting technical products, and skilled at marketing them to global and African companies. Passion for proactive outreach via phone, email, and LinkedIn is required. You’ll collaborate directly with the sales leadership team to meet your KPIs, with an emphasis on revenue development and client acquisition. The role will be situated in Ghana, with some travel required.
Your Mission
What will you be working on?
- Sales Strategy Execution: Implement the full sales strategies developed by the Head of Sales. Identify target markets and client segments to help promote growth.
- Deal origination and closing: Create and close deals. Ensure that all contracts and agreements are in line with the company’s strategic objectives.
- Conduct market research to better understand industry trends, the competitive landscape, and client demands. Utilize insights to improve sales techniques.
- Customer Relationship Management: Develop and maintain solid relationships with key clients and stakeholders. Ensure high levels of client satisfaction and swiftly resolve any issues.
- Reporting: Provide regular updates on sales performance, market trends, and customer feedback.
- Stay Current on AI Trends: Keep up with advances in AI technology and industry trends.
- Identify possibilities to improve sales performance.
Required Skill or Experience
Skill and Experience
- 3+ years of expertise in technical sales, with a background in agriculture or agritech.
- Proven track record as a talented researcher who can identify and capitalize on new sales prospects.
- A thorough awareness of the agricultural market and the ability to manage complex sales cycles
- Demonstrates a strong understanding of AI technologies, data science, machine learning, and their applications in AgriTech. Engages with farmers, agricultural experts, and stakeholders to design solutions to their needs.
- Excellent communication and cooperation abilities, with the ability to translate technical concepts into actionable insights for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Self-motivated and autonomous, with a love for keeping up with the newest breakthroughs in AI, AgriTech, and agricultural innovation.
