POSITION: Driver
Position Summary
To deliver secure, skilled, and trustworthy driving services, which involve transporting company leaders and employees, in addition to managing tanker vehicles for logistical operations. The driver will guarantee vehicle upkeep, adherence to safety regulations, and prompt delivery of transportation services across designated responsibilities.
Responsibilities
General Driving Duties
- Transport Directors and employees to meetings, events, and official duties.
- Perform office tasks such as banking, pickups, deliveries, and courier services.
- Always uphold professionalism, confidentiality, and timeliness.
- Maintain company vehicles in a clean, fueled, and safe condition.
- Verify that all vehicle paperwork (insurance, roadworthy certificate, license) is current and valid.
- Keep precise travel logs, fuel consumption records, and vehicle inspection documents.
Tanker Operation Responsibilities
- Drive tanker trucks to carry water, fuel, or other liquid cargo as instructed.
- Adhere to safety protocols while loading, transporting, and unloading liquids.
- Examine the tanker prior to and following trips, promptly reporting any issues.
- Observe pressure and seals to guarantee the secure management of tanker cargo.
- Adhere to all road, health, and safety rules throughout operations.
- Assist with logistics for company activities that involve tanker transportation.
Necessary Skills or Experience
- Valid Driver’s License (Class F and B or equivalent – mandatory for both standard and tanker driving).
- At least 3–5 years of driving experience, which includes working with tankers or heavy-duty vehicles.
- Defensive Driving Instruction or Hazardous Materials Transportation Certification (preferred).
- Clear driving history with no significant traffic offenses.
- Knowledge of regional paths and extensive journeys.
Experience and Qualifications
- Cautious about safety with outstanding driving abilities.
- Capability to operate both cars and heavy-duty trucks.
- Professional demeanor and the capability to engage courteously with Directors and employees.
- Effective communication, time management, and reporting abilities.
- Understanding mechanics and fundamental vehicle problem-solving abilities.
