POSITION: Administrative Assistant

Furthermore, BII has helped firms in Africa and Asia thrive sustainably for over 70 years and recently expanded to the Indo-Pacific and Caribbean.

BII invests for impact and profit. BII has invested about £7 billion in new projects over the past five years, increasing net assets to £7.5 billion. Also, BII has invested in 1,200 enterprises that employ over 900,000 people and assist many more. BII wants to invest £9 billion in new projects over the next five years to grow. BII has invested over $2bn in financial services across more than 150 investees, representing nearly one-third of its portfolio by value.

Moreover, BII developed the Ghana Investment Support Programme to fulfill this promise. GhISP is a technical assistance initiative that uses portfolio support and market structuring to improve investment flows to disadvantaged SMEs in Ghana, focusing on BII’s investment themes (Gender, BOLD, Climate, Target Populations). Founded around Growth Investment Partners (GIP), BII’s local currency debt investment vehicle for SMEs in Ghana, GhISP supports GIP and other BII portfolio companies pre- and post-investment and shapes the investment ecosystem to unlock investment through market-level pipeline development and field building.

A Ghanaian Programme Manager will provide end-to-end support through all stages of project design and delivery and serve as a bridge between the Project Coordinator, the Senior Advisor, and Technical Assistance Providers, fostering centralized relationships, and clear points of contact, and avoiding attrition in stakeholder relations.

Tasks and Duties

  • Facilitate communication between Project Coordinator, Senior Advisor, and Technical Assistance Providers (TAPs), ensuring centralized relationships and preventing stakeholder attrition.
  • Provide end-to-end support for GhISP partners on project design and delivery, avoiding duplication of activities between team members. LoE varies based on project needs.
  • Manages TAP relationships daily, monitors milestones, supports risk management, addresses bottlenecks, and capitalizes on program possibilities.
  • Assisting The GhISP Programme Manager will handle stakeholders, risks, milestones, finances, contracts, and procurement as a primary point of contact.
  • Assist DAI Head Office in monitoring progress, identifying obstacles, tracking KPIs, managing TAPs, and ensuring quality assurance.
  • Provide constant support for GhISP, backstop other Core Team members, show management support, and quickly identify and escalate concerns.
  • With support from the MEL Lead and Project Coordinator, guarantee effective MEL and program communication.
  • Support GhISP from programming design to implementation with flexibility.
