Job Title: EVENTS COORDINATOR
About the company
Marriage Link (M-Link Consult) is a business that was set up to help people get married and stay married in Ghana. The goal of the company is to improve the happiness and well-being of society through marriage. In this way, the company is a one-stop shop for help with marriage. We do everything that has to do with marriage. We have four separate but related packages, which are:
- Marriage Partner Identification and Matching is a service for people ready to take the long road to marriage and need help finding wives or husbands in a way that is private, reliable, and focused on a goal. So that we don’t give away Clients’ names, we don’t show their photos to the public.
- People of all faiths and none can get premarital counseling to help them get ready for marriage. This includes legal education about the different kinds of marriages and what they mean under Ghanaian law;
- Marriage Events Organization, which helps couples have stress-free weddings that are tailored to their budgets, making it easy for people to get married without a lot of financial stress;
- Marriage Juice-Up service helps couples who are already married but have problems in their marriages and need private, professional counseling to work through their issues.
So far, the business has been run on the web through our portal at www.marriagelink.net. As part of our efforts to make it easier for clients to use our services, we’ve made a dedicated app that will be available on the Play Store starting in January 2023. The App will change the game because it will make it much easier for the public to use our services.
About the Role
This is a role for planning and running Corporate Events. Marriage Link has a number of public events planned for the year, and the person in this position will be in charge of them. They will work closely with their colleagues in other Departments and Units to make sure the events are a success for everyone. The one in charge will:
- Lead the process of making Concepts and Briefs for Events.
- Organize the logistics of events
- Prepare proposals for Events sponsorship
- Make budgets and figure out what other resources an Event will need.
- Talk to vendors about prices and deals.
- Help with things Marketing
Required Skills or Experience
Qualifications
- A degree from a college or university and at least three years of relevant work experience.
Skills and knowledge needed
- Coordination and management of events in the past.
- Having knowledge of how to make budgets for events
- Capable of making concept notes for Events
- Know how things work in Ghana when it comes to managing events.
- Experience finding sponsors for events in the past.
Compensation
Attractive and appropriate for the level of experience. We pay SSNIT as well.
