Lack of Teachers in Ontario, Canada: Ontario Raises Wages to Address Early Educator Shortages

In order to address the lack of early educators working in registered childcare centers, wages in Ontario will increase to $23.86 per hour in the following year. This increase is more than the initial increase of $20 that was intended. The purpose of this strategic measure is to alleviate shortages and make it simpler for the growth of the nationwide program that provides $10 per day.
