Our client, a reputable laboratory equipment supplier in Accra has immediate employment for a qualified professional for the position of Technical Sales Promoter and Service Engineer to help with their sales operations in Ghana.

ROLE PROFILE

The successful candidate will perform various sales activities to help achieve the sales target of the company.

DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES At laboratory equipment

  • Promote and sell company equipment to business customers using technical knowledge and commercial training.
  • Identifying and establishing new business
  • Organizing sales visits, giving demonstrations, training, and presentations to help clients discover and understand products
  • Preparing tenders, proposals and quotations, negotiating contracts, terms and conditions
  • Reviewing cost and sales performance
  • Writing reports and sales literature, and liaising with the production team regarding issues, foreseeable problems, and effective solutions.
  • Supporting other members of the sales team by training them in the uses of products/services
  • Ensuring that sales targets are met.
  • Updating orders and sales and negotiating the best contract terms.
  • Simplifying technical terms during product demonstrations and post-sales customer support.
  • Memorizing technical product specifications and keeping up-to-date with new company products as well as industry trends.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Contributes to sales engineering effectiveness by identifying short-term and long-range issues that must be addressed, recommending options and courses of action, and implementing directives.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Qualification:

  • HND in Chemistry or Oil and Gas Instrument or related discipline
  • Demonstrate understanding of pharmaceutical and analytical equipment
  • Ability to communicate complex information clearly
  • Ability to work independently with the context of a multidisciplinary health team
  • Experience working towards and achieving sales targets
  • Ability to write detailed reports
  • Minimum of (2) years of working experience.
