Ghanaian songstress, Sista Afia has seconded fellow musician, Kuami Eugene on the statements he made about the lack of support among musicians in the country.
Moments ago, Kuami Eugene fired in a live video on Facebook among others that the big and well-to-do artistes in the country do not extend a helping hand to the up and coming ones.
He bitterly expressed his discomfort over the persistent attitudes of his colleagues which are not helping the music industry.
He said most of them won’t help out by sharing songs or albums of their fellow musicians.
According to the award winning artiste, this neglect by the so-called pioneers of the music industry on the young ones has made it tough to rise to the top if you are a young artiste.
He emphasized that it is not a good practice they exhibit and it will not enhance the progress of the music industry.
He added that this attitude by the big people towards the young talents in Ghana is actually killing the drive of many who try to venture into music.
He said that the real state of the industry now is all about pulling people down and hatred.
In reacting to the deep assertions by Kuami Eugene, Sista Afia has stated that Kuami Eugene is right and she has been a victim as well as others.
According to the “weather” hit maker, they will be mightier than they are if they start keeping things real.
She wrote:
“Kuami Eugene is right with the way we fake-love ourselves in the industry. We all victims to this but I believe if we start keeping it real with ourselves, we will be mightier than we are”
