Eligibility Requirements

  • KGSP 2026 age requirements: Undergraduate candidates must be under 25 years old, while graduate candidates should be under 40 years old.
  • Academic prerequisites: Undergraduate candidates need to have finished their education from elementary through high school, whereas graduate candidates are required to possess a bachelor’s or master’s degree before their arrival.
  • Applicants must not have previously pursued studies in Korea (exceptions are made for former KGSP recipients with results of 90% or higher).

Application Pathways

There are two primary application pathways:

  • Embassy Route: Submit your application at the Korean embassy in your home nation.
  • University Pathway: Enroll directly at a Korean university that is part of the program.

  • Applications that are shortlisted are sent to NIIED (National Institute for International Education) for the final decision.
