Role Overview

As Maintenance Supervisor, you will oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of hotel equipment while leading a team of engineering professionals. Your technical knowledge will ensure optimal facility operations while delivering the exceptional standards JW Marriott guests expect. This position offers comprehensive exposure to hospitality engineering systems and team management.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Operations & Maintenance

Install, maintain, and perform preventative maintenance on tools, appliances, and equipment
Calibrate control systems, gauges, and meters to ensure proper functionality
Conduct life safety inspections, including fire pump tests and generator run tests
Identify and operate all shut-off valves throughout the property

Inventory & Facility Management

Manage parts inventory and maintain purchase order documentation
Inspect tools and equipment to determine maintenance needs and replacement schedules
Operate power lifts and other heavy equipment safely and effectively
Develop and implement disaster response protocols and emergency procedures

Team Leadership & Development

Assist in hiring, training, and scheduling engineering staff
Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching to team members
Foster positive working relationships and support team development
Ensure adherence to quality standards and organizational policies

Guest Service & Safety Compliance

Respond promptly to guest repair requests with professional service
Report maintenance problems and safety hazards immediately
Complete required safety training and maintain certifications
Maintain a clean, professional appearance and uphold brand standards

Qualifications and Experience

Essential Requirements:

Technical, Trade, or Vocational School Degree
Minimum 2 years of maintenance experience in hospitality or related industry
At least 2 years of supervisory experience in technical operations
Comprehensive knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems
Physical ability to lift 50 pounds and perform strenuous activities
