Junior Sales Agronomist at ETG Inputs Ghana Limited

- This position reports to the Executive – Agro Chemicals
PURPOSE OF THE JOB
To manage the sales and marketing department under the supervision of the Executive, Agro-Chemicals, to meet the company’s operations goals.
Job Description:
This position is responsible for generating walk-ins into the Retail Stores by playing the role of a “Farmer’s advisor”. This will be done through promotional activities on the field and farms.
- Firstly, Scheduling and executing weekly plans for marketing and promotional activities.
- Secondly, Supporting technical training of sales staff on the focus products for the current season/crop.
- Thirdly, Conducting field demonstrations, farmer meetings, field days, talk shows, farmer seminars, etc.
- Moreover, Developing and maintaining professional contacts with FBO and commercial farmers.
- Additionally, Developing product brand in areas of operation; carrying out brand promotion/field promotional activities.
- Furthermore, Using local innovative methods of promotions to maximise and enhance reach to farmers.
- More so, Establishing and developing brands for new products in agrochemicals and specialty fertiliser.
- Then, Responsible for executing and maintaining marketing strategies to meet organisational objectives.
- Also, Evaluating customer research, market conditions, competitor data and implementing marketing plans.
- Afterwards, Assisting in managing new store openings- event planning, visual merchandising, etc.
- Finally, Managing farmers’ database in the area of supervision 12. Presenting weekly and monthly reports on highlights of activities.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES:
- The ideal applicant must hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Agribusiness, Warehousing Supply Chain and Logistics Management, and Business Administration.
- Any qualification in Sales, Marketing or any business-related field will be an added advantage.
- He/she should have good sales and presentation skills, strong communication skills, interpersonal relationship skills, customer relationship and management abilities.
- He/she should be knowledgeable in warehousing and inventory management.
- He/she should be knowledgeable in the Ghanaian agrochemical seed and fertilisers industry, and be capable of providing regular market data for management decision-making.
- The applicant should have the ability to work in a multicultural environment and must be computer literate.
- The applicant should have at least two years of experience in warehousing or depot management.

- Master of IT tools, office, and internet packs.
