JOB VACANCY FOR PRINCIPAL DIETICIAN
The Ministry of Health exists to promote and provide integrated, holistic and sustainable preventative, curative, and rehabilitative quality health services to the nation
VACANCY: PRINCIPAL DIETICIAN I
Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the above position in the Ministry of Health, Department of Health Service Management, tenable at various facilities
- VACANCY NO: 25 of 2022
- SALARY: DP30,664.00 -1337,068.00
BENEFITS:
- Optional contributory Medical Aid Scheme (Government pays 50s, Employee pays)
- A contract of 34-36 months with gratuity of 30% payable at the end of contract.
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- A minimum of Bachelor of Science in Dietetics and Nutrition
- A minimum of four (4) years in Nutrition and Dietetics of which one (1) year should be served at the level of Principal Dietician II or equivalent.
MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
To coordinate clinical nutrition functions within organisation and continues to provide coverage to specialty
MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
To manage medical service in a hospital on a 24 hour basis, providing professional leadership to the multidisciplinary medical team and delivering specialized care in the diagnosis, therapeutic and persentative of ailments

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:
- Firstly, Provides medical nutrition therapy to patients with complex conditions 2.Prescribes medical nutrition therapy related unders
- Secondly, Provide guest lecturing to stakeholders.
- Thirdly, Coordinates development of nutrition components of multi-disciplinary treatment protocols
- Moreover, Develops and updates operational policies and procedures
- Additionally, Review patient’s files to ensure maintenance of standard of dietetic practice.
- Then, Collates disease specific patient statistics
- Also, Prepares/Participates in the budget for manpower and materials conduct nutrition research
- Finally, Conducts in service training for health care staff.
