Job Vacancy For Metallurgist at a Mining Company
A mining company situated in the Western Region of Ghana requires, for immediate employment, the following:
POSITION: Metallurgist
Responsibilities:
- Firstly, Investigate process/equipment control problems, evaluate unit operations and metallurgy and recommend action to maintain efficient operation.
- Secondly, Ensure accurate and thorough investigation and data analyses. Provide technical assistance to Process Improvement initiatives.
- Thirdly, Evaluate project options & assess their feasibility based on safety, cost impact, product quality & operations.
- Moreover, Optimize alarm system performance in accordance with Alarm Management Philosophy and design / alarm rationalization / suppression techniques.
- Additionally, Perform control loop tuning, investigate loops operated out of normal mode and identify control valve issues.
- Then, Investigate control loops requiring a high amount of Operator interaction or intervention.
- Also, Continuously improve the effectiveness of the Operator’s human-machine interface (HMI).
- Afterwards, Interface with Operations and Maintenance Teams, Process Engineering and Facilities Engineering to identify improvement opportunities.
- Finally, Well-developed communication and problem solving skills.
Requirements
- Experience of a minimum of 5 years in the mining industry with respect to metallurgy.
- Applicant must be conversant with the Mongolian or Chinese languages.
- Must also have a First Degree in Metallurgy.
