Job Title: Remote Monitoring Service – Specialist
Sandvik Mining and Rock Technology is a top supplier of machinery, tools, support, and technological solutions for the mining sector, including rock drilling, rock cutting, rock crushing, loading, hauling, and materials handling.
The RMS Expert is in charge of evaluating equipment performance using a variety of digital technologies, as well as measuring equipment reliability and condition monitoring. Giving useful feedback will help with condition monitoring, bad actor detection, Productivity & Reliability Center Maintenance analysis, probable root cause analysis, critical item identification, and directing preventative maintenance schedules to support equipment reliability and product availability.
Key Responsibilities Include
- To ensure the fleet is operating at its best, do remote fleet monitoring for telemetry, maintenance, and logistical data.
- Provide engineering, process, systemic, and human-reliability factor solutions to difficult reliability & asset availability concerns.
- Provide technical leadership at all mine levels insightful feedback, paying particular attention to your interactions with the Operations and Maintenance teams.
- Assess functional system dependability, asset availability, equipment maintainability, process safety, and environmental impact using statistical analysis of equipment/asset performance.
- Convert reliability opportunities into cost reductions and revenue growth.
- Encourage aspects that will promote technological, systemic, human/behavioral reliability across all sites.
- Encourage the administration and development of analytical platforms and applications.
- Provide on-site staff with the information and resources they need to succeed using new digital tools and working methods.
- Giving reliability engineers analytical input can help them provide strong RCA reports and recommendations to enhance the performance of equipment based on data-driven insights.
- Observe all SMRT rules and regulations, notably the SHEQ ones.
Qualification/Competencies
- Degree-qualified engineer or someone with a solid trade background and familiarity with the corresponding equipment
- A minimum of three years experience in a comparable position
- Thorough knowledge of the mining sector
- Outstanding computing skills
- It is highly ideal to have prior telematics solution experience.
- Analytical attitude
- High degree of initiative, desire, and resolve to accomplish objectives and goals set for customer satisfaction.
- Good communication, interpersonal and people skills are necessary.
- Well-developed organizational and time management skills.
- The capacity to inspire and mentor others.
- Powerful report writing abilities.
- The capacity to operate independently or as part of a large, coordinated team
