Job Description

Plantations Socfinaf Ghana Limited, a leading oil palm and rubber producer in Ghana’s Western Region, seeks a qualified Junior Internal Auditor to strengthen our governance framework. Role Overview

Reporting to the Internal Audit Superintendent, you will conduct systematic audits that enhance risk management and control processes across our plantation operations. You will evaluate operational effectiveness while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and corporate policies. This position provides comprehensive exposure to agribusiness auditing with professional development support.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct follow-up audits to verify implementation of corrective actions
Assess compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies
Review financial statements and supporting documentation for accuracy
Identify and investigate potential fraudulent activities or financial irregularities
Perform risk assessments and internal control evaluations
Propose recommendations to enhance operational efficiency
Collaborate with cross-functional teams on risk management strategies
Identify control gaps and recommend risk mitigation measures
Prepare detailed follow-up audit summaries for senior management
Monitor the implementation status of audit recommendations
Maintain current knowledge of auditing regulations and best practices
Engage in continuous professional development and training opportunities

Qualifications and Experience

Essential Requirements:

Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related discipline
2-5 years of experience in auditing, controlling, or related field
Professional certification or commitment to pursue CIA, CFE, or CISA
Strong understanding of accounting standards and legal requirements
Proficiency with audit software and data analysis tools
Willingness to travel for training and professional development
Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities
Experience with financial document preparation and review
Proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Excel
Ability to analyze accounting documents and operational flowcharts
Strong ethical standards with commitment to confidentiality

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience conducting audits in African or European contexts
Knowledge of IT systems and data analytics tools
French language proficiency
Background in agricultural or manufacturing industries
Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
Adaptable to changing regulatory environments
Ability to work independently and within teams
Detail-oriented with accuracy in handling large datasets
Capacity to work under pressure and meet deadlines
