First National Bank Ghana is seeking a dedicated Branch Administrator to join our team. In this key role, you will implement and manage all operational policies, risk procedures, and compliance processes within a dynamic branch environment. Your primary objectives are mitigating operational risk, enhancing efficiency, and guaranteeing excellent customer service experiences. Furthermore, you will provide comprehensive administrative leadership and support to ensure seamless branch functionality.

Key Performance Areas and Deliverables

Your effectiveness will be measured across several critical operational and leadership domains.

Operational Excellence and Risk Management

Ensure 100% compliance with KYC requirements for all new account openings, adhering strictly to regulatory and internal policy standards.
Monitor daily branch office accounts and teller processes vigilantly to completely eradicate potential fraud and losses.
Manage branch staff attendance and maintain 100% accurate, up-to-date leave records for the operations team.
Work collaboratively to achieve satisfactory audit results with no recurring findings.
Implement robust health and safety measures, including secure opening and closing procedures and fire safety protocols.
Control branch costs and expenses meticulously within the approved budget to drive cost optimization.
Act as the branch Complaints Champion, ensuring all customer complaints are handled promptly per bank procedure.

Compliance and Audit Governance

Achieve operational excellence in all procedures to ensure a consistently satisfactory audit outcome.
Guarantee compliance with all operational risk standards, including security and health and safety regulations.
Adhere strictly to relevant legislation covering fraud prevention, anti money laundering, and KYC protocols.

Team Leadership and Collaboration

Build, develop, and motivate a high-performing team committed to mutual success.
Coach team members to maximize their potential and build awareness of their strengths.
Provide cover for other team members as needed and deputize for the Branch Manager when required.
Support the implementation of change initiatives and constantly seek improved ways of working.

Required Education and Experience

Candidates must possess a relevant Degree or an equivalent professional qualification.

Have at least three years of direct operations management experience within a banking environment.
Previous experience in a sales and service role is highly beneficial.
Demonstrate a strong understanding of branch objectives, relevant banking legislation, and internal systems like T24.
Possess good knowledge of operational risk standards, retail products, and fraud prevention techniques.
